Hacienda La Esmeralda made history by claiming first place in all three major competition categories, earning them the coveted Panama Cup—a monumental “Triple Crown” achievement that has never been seen before.

With scores evaluated by 22 international judges, two Geisha coffee lots from Hacienda La Esmeralda broke world records for both washed and natural processing methods:

  • Geisha Lavado (Washed Geisha): 98.00 points – 🌟 New world record

  • Natural Geisha: 97.00 points – 🌟 Also a new record

  • Varietals category: 92.88 points – First place winner

Rachel Peterson of Hacienda La Esmeralda expressed her astonishment at the results. Head judge Will Young noted, “Panama has undoubtedly established itself as the producer of the world’s best coffee.” SCAP President Richard Koyner described the entire competition as “incredible.”

These award-winning lots will be auctioned at SCAP’s official online platform on August 6th, where Panama continues to set world-record prices per kilogram of green coffee.

This triple victory not only reaffirms Hacienda La Esmeralda’s mastery in coffee production but also highlights the unique terroir of Panama’s highlands as one of the finest coffee origins on Earth. Congratulations to Hacienda La Esmeralda for once again elevating the global coffee standard!
